Discovery Coast Tourism & Commerce Inc. Mission Statement: Promoting and developing sustainable tourism and economic development within the Town of 1770/Agnes Water and the region known as the Discovery Coast for the benefit of all businesses and the wider community. Vision: To recognise and protect the value of our natural assets for future generations by enhancing opportunities for members, residents and visitors to be a part of the growth of this region. History: Growing through co-operation. The Discovery Coast Tourism & Commerce Inc (DCTC) was incorporated in 2000. Membership is made up of business people within the community as well as voluntary people who have been involved in the corporate world. The main DCTC objective is to promote the Town of 1770/Agnes Water, and the area known as the Discovery Coast, as a destination so that all businesses as well as the wider community prosper through social, environmental and economic development. The main industry of the Town of 1770/Agnes Water is TOURISM. The majority of businesses in the area are micro and small, are generally privately owned and operated, employing up to as many as 30 staff. Economic development and diversification of business is encouraged to provide employment opportunities for our residents, in particular our children. |
